Eggshell calcium is a whole food form of calcium carbonate that also contains small amounts of other naturally occurring minerals. Unlike refined calcium salts that typically come from limestone or chalk, our calcium comes from a recognizable food source.

Horseradish tree leaf is included as a natural source of plant-based phytonutrients, magnesium and trace minerals which are all nutrients commonly found in calcium-rich whole foods.

Most calcium supplements contain isolated calcium salts derived from limestone or industrially processed mineral compounds. Our formula combines calcium from whole food sources (eggshell and marine minerals) with additional nutrients naturally present in those sources. This keeps our formula as close to nature as possible and supports the body's normal handling of nutrients*.

Every batch is tested for potency, ingredient identity, microbial safety (including Salmonella, E. coli and Staph) and heavy metals (mercury, lead, arsenic and cadmium) by our FDA-registered, cGMP-certified manufacturer, then sent to an independent third-party lab for heavy metals and microbial testing. Certificates of Analysis and third-party lab reports are available on request.

A marine mineral ingredient from Lithothamnion red algae. The algae builds its own skeleton from minerals it draws out of seawater, so the calcium arrives in a food matrix alongside the trace minerals that occur with it, rather than as an isolated salt.

A branded, food-grade eggshell calcium powder processed specifically for supplement use. Naming it matters for the same reason as any other source on the label: it tells you what the calcium actually is, rather than leaving "calcium" to stand for anything.

Hypromellose, a plant-derived capsule material. It is listed under other ingredients along with rice flour and bamboo stem and shoot extract, which are the only non-active components in the formula. They are natural and necessary flow agents for manufacturing.

None of our ingredients contain gluten, soy, or dairy. We're not certified gluten-free or allergen-free, so if you have celiac disease or a severe allergy, please check with your practitioner. We're happy to send you the full ingredient list.

Ask your licensed healthcare provider before starting any supplement while pregnant or breastfeeding. Although our ingredients are derived from real food, we are legally not able to advise on this.

Check with your practitioner or pharmacist. Calcium can interact with the absorption of certain medicines depending on timing, so the spacing question is for someone who can see everything you take.

Cool, dry, out of direct sunlight and with the cap closed: a cupboard rather than a bathroom shelf. Keep it out of reach of children, as with any supplement.
